What is an NPK reflexologist?

The NPK Reflexologist is a national vocational qualification intended for anyone who wishes to practice reflexology. Upon successful completion of the process, candidates receive a publicly recognized certificate proving that they are qualified to perform this work.

A reflexologist promotes relaxation and well-being by applying pressure to reflex points, primarily on the feet and palms. They can work in wellness centers, salons, and other establishments, or choose to become self-employed.

What is the process for obtaining an NPK?

Once you have met all the requirements for obtaining an NPK, you can apply for the NPK certification process.

Obtaining a National Vocational Qualification (NPK) certificate follows a clearly defined procedure that allows candidates to demonstrate the knowledge and experience they have gained through work, training, or informal learning.

The entire process is divided into three main steps:

1. Submitting an Application

The candidate submits an application for an NPK certificate to an authorized testing and certification provider. The application is the first step toward official recognition of your knowledge and competencies.

2. Consulting and Preparation of a Portfolio

At this stage, the candidate receives professional guidance to help them navigate the entire process. Together, we prepare a personalized application portfolio that includes:

  • certificates and documentation regarding education and training,
  • proof of work experience,
  • letters of recommendation from employers or clients,
  • products, projects, photographs, or other documentation,
  • certificates and other relevant supporting documents.

A well-prepared portfolio is key to successfully obtaining the certificate.

3. Review and Approval of National Qualification Frameworks (NPK)

Based on the candidate’s portfolio, the committee assesses whether the required standards have been met. If necessary, a practical assessment is also conducted, during which the candidate demonstrates his or her knowledge and skills in practice.

Cost of the procedure

The fee for the NPK verification and certification process is 267.00 EUR and includes:

  • providing information, guidance, and support to the candidate throughout the entire process,
  • individual counseling and assistance in preparing a personal portfolio,
  • a professional review of the application portfolio and a determination of whether the requirements have been met,
  • direct assessment of practical knowledge and competencies.
