Central Slovenia Region Counseling Center

At the Central Slovenia Region Counseling Center, we offer adults free information, counseling, and support regarding education, learning, and planning their personal and professional paths. Our counseling services are intended for all adults who wish to acquire new knowledge, complete their education, improve their employment prospects, or plan their future development more effectively.

We provide counseling in person, by phone, via email, or through online platforms. In our counseling work, we use a variety of counseling tools, questionnaires, and methods that help identify needs, set goals, and track progress.

We also organize group counseling sessions, workshops, and other forms of group work for specific target groups.

We recommend visiting:

• older adults who want to stay active and learn new things,
• unemployed individuals and job seekers who wish to improve their employment prospects,
• employees who wish to enhance their professional knowledge or develop new skills,
• immigrants who are learning the Slovenian language and getting to know life and work in Slovenia,
• adults who are completing their elementary or high school education,
• to everyone who does not have access to a computer, the Internet, or a suitable space for learning at home.

The center is an accessible, supportive, and inclusive space where you can develop your potential, build your self-confidence, and, step by step, achieve your personal, educational, and career goals.

By prior arrangement:

• We organize a mobile counseling service at various organizations,
• We provide individual or group counseling for selected target groups,
• We’ll schedule a consultation time that works for the users.

Monday to Thursday: 8:00–11:00 and 13:00–16:00
Friday: by prior arrangement.

We advise you on enrolling in educational programs and continuing your education

We’re here to help:

• select an appropriate educational program or learning format,
• to begin or continue their education,
• participate in courses, training programs, and other forms of lifelong learning,
• organize learning and develop effective study habits,
• overcome barriers related to learning and education,
• plan one’s personal and professional career,
• set career goals and advance in your job,
• look for a job and present themselves effectively to employers.

We advise you on the assessment of knowledge, skills, and competencies

We’re here to help you:

• identify the knowledge, skills, and competencies you have acquired in various life situations,
• determine how you can apply the knowledge you have already acquired in your continuing education, in obtaining various certifications, or in your work,
• make visible the knowledge gained through work experience, volunteer work, courses, and other forms of learning,
• collect and obtain appropriate evidence of knowledge, skills, and competencies.

We offer guidance for independent study

The Self-Study Center is also part of the Central Slovenia Region Advisory Center. Users have access to study stations equipped with computers and internet access, as well as learning materials.

We’re here to help:

• plan independent learning,
• select appropriate teaching materials and resources,
• effectively organize the learning process,
• develop strategies for successful learning,
• tailor their learning to their needs, goals, and abilities.
