Thank you for organizing such a great weekend event.
It was educational, fun, intense, a little tiring, but always with a smile.
Thank you to all the mentors—I’d especially like to mention Nataša and Marko, who “sweated it out” with us from morning till night and were always there to help…
Jana and Monika were like two kind fairies who made sure we didn’t get dehydrated and kept us stocked with plenty of vitamins (fruit) and sweets…It’s a pleasure to work with people like this, and they’re always worth rewarding. 🙂 In one way or another…“Learn, learn, learn…” Comrade Tito once said something like that 🙂 It’s never enough… 🙂 and believe in yourself and in the idea that it will come to fruition. THANK YOU, see you soon and until we meet again” Maša Pečar

“The weekend was pretty intense, but that’s just how it is in the business world. If you want to be successful, you have to work! Especially in the beginning, when we’re working to turn an idea from theory into practice. I learned a lot over the weekend about this process. I was surprised by how important it is to test the market. After all, just because your business idea seems absolutely fantastic to you doesn’t mean your potential customers will feel the same way. I also experienced firsthand just how important a team is. If you have people around you who are fully committed to the idea, success is sure to follow. Thank you once again to everyone who made this weekend possible—it was a truly interesting experience.” Mojca, Vitalism

“We had a great entrepreneurial experience, during which we built upon and expanded our original idea of a ‘secondhand goods exchange.’ We enjoyed the hands-on learning and socializing. We participated in an intensive entrepreneurship program where we developed our business idea. We learned how to design a business model and conduct effective entrepreneurial research using the Lean Startup method. We learned methods for quickly validating the quality of a specific business idea. We were assisted in this by facilitators, mentors, and experienced entrepreneurs. We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the mentors who were of great help to us: Živa Lopatič (Buna), Barbara Zupančič (Šentprima), Jože Gornik (Nefiks), Nataša Rupnik (Zola), Jana Mlačnik and Bojan Hajdinjak (Cene Štupar), Tomaž Stritar (Successful Entrepreneur), and Marko Koštomaj. In the final part of the event, we presented our business ideas with a social impact to an expert panel, which selected three winners. We were very pleased to take second place. We look forward to the project’s further development.” The Sedežka Team – A Social Impact Café

“Startup Weekend was very interesting and informative. We learned many useful methods for developing and testing a business plan. The mentors were a great help to us; they constantly provided input and creatively highlighted possibilities for further developing our idea. In addition, the event was filled with laughter and a creative, relaxed atmosphere, as we enjoyed entertaining yet highly informative lectures by Tomaž Stritar and Filip Muki Dobranić.” The Flying Farmers Team

“I like that the key steps of the Lean Entrepreneurship program were supported by lectures and immediate hands-on testing. The weekend was thus filled with nonstop action aimed at testing our own hypotheses. The mentors, with their questions and suggestions, challenged our thinking and thus helped us make effective decisions.” Ana Ida Mordej
