The Ferfl Social Impact Entrepreneurship Startup Weekend is now in its fourth season under the auspices of the Cene Štupar – CILJ Public Institution.
From Friday afternoon through Sunday evening, weekend participants will intensively develop their entrepreneurial skills, test the effectiveness of their ideas, build prototypes, and learn how to create high-quality presentations of their business ideas; at the end of the weekend, they will present these to a panel of experts, which will select two winners. Along with the four contest winners, the winners will join the School of Entrepreneurship.
Over the weekend, participants will have the opportunity to learn, free of charge, about designing business models based on the Lean Startup model, methods for quickly assessing the quality of a particular business idea, and advice from entrepreneurial mentors.
On Friday afternoon, teams of 3–5 people are formed, and each team spends the entire weekend developing its own business idea. Saturday is set aside for testing the idea in the field and consulting with entrepreneurial mentors. On Sunday, the teams prepare a 3-minute presentation of their business idea for an expert panel.
The Startup Weekend begins on Friday, March 10, 2017, at 2:30 p.m. and ends on Sunday, March 12, 2017, at approximately 6:00 p.m.
The Startup Weekend will take place at the NLB Center for Innovative Entrepreneurship, Trg republike 2 – annex, in Ljubljana.
