The Ferfl program for promoting social entrepreneurship is in full swing. The winners of Startup Weekend and the Competition are refining and developing their ideas at the Social Entrepreneurship School. There are seven teams with a total of twenty participants in the classroom, eagerly absorbing the entrepreneurial knowledge shared by the instructors.
Nataša Rupnik from the Zola Institute opened the Ferfl Entrepreneurship School with a lecture on social entrepreneurship and its social impact in Slovenia and around the world. She also emphasized the importance of product testing, which is crucial for success. So far, there have been workshops on how to capture customers’ attention and a workshop on understanding customer buying habits. By the end of the entrepreneurship school, selected participants will also gain new knowledge in the areas of costs and revenues, become familiar with online marketing tools, learn about funding opportunities and regulatory frameworks, and develop public speaking skills.
The Ferfl Entrepreneurship School has been running for several sessions in a row, and lecturer and mentor Nataša Rupnik notes that:“The participants in the entrepreneurship school are very serious and motivated, and they’re committed to bringing their ideas with a social impact to life. Some of this year’s winning teams already have fully developed ideas that they want to bring to life through a business model, while other teams are testing their prototypes with potential customers.”
