In 2018, the project successfully applied under the Public Call for Proposals to select operations aimed at achieving the objectives of the Local Development Strategy “LAS Za mesto in vas.” Yesterday, representatives of the project’s consortium partners— the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (GZS) Central Slovenia Regional Chamber, the AIA Association – Mengeš Youth Center, and Cene Štupar – CILJ, successfully brought the project to a close at the closing ceremony held at the Franca Bernik Cultural Center, where they presented the project’s results. The assembled guests were addressed by the project manager at the lead consortium partner, Cene Štupar – CILJ, Ms. Sanda Jerman, and Ms. Renata Kosec, deputy mayor of the municipality of Domžale.
As part of the project , six entrepreneurial breakfasts were held in February and March 2021 , during which the organizers made “virtual” visits to all six municipalities of the “Lunice” LAG: Domžale, Mengeš, Trzin, Komenda, Medvode, and Vodice. Each breakfast was hosted by the mayors of the respective municipalities and featured a total of 18 guests—prominent entrepreneurs and experts from various fields who are well-known both locally and throughout Slovenia.
During the discussions, the focus was primarily on trends and managing the current economic situation, which can be a key advantage if we think entrepreneurially, as it brings numerous opportunities for the growth and development of our organizations, said Sanda Jerman, project manager at the lead consortium partner, Cene Štupar – CILJ.
In April , the Entrepreneurship Academy took place , featuring eight in-depth virtual workshops that covered key areas and new developments that every entrepreneur needs to master. In May and through June 15, the Business Incubator program took place; six mentee companies were accepted into the program and successfully completed it. As a result, very special bonds were forged within the project; in such a short time, the mentors made both small and large breakthroughs with their mentees, but above all, they established a genuine connection with them and, despite the short mentoring period, delved into the entrepreneurial challenges with the utmost care and successfully helped them overcome them.
The companies and individual entrepreneurs who participated in the business incubator and successfully enhanced their entrepreneurial skills are:
