Following a startup weekend and a competition for entrepreneurial ideas with a social impact, 24 candidates were selected to participate in the entrepreneurship program. The program is run by the Tržič and Radovljica Adult Education Centers in collaboration with the Cene Štupar Public Institution and Uspešen podjetnik.
The three teams with the highest-rated business ideas with a social impact at the Startup Weekend advanced directly to the entrepreneurship school. The remaining four teams qualified for the entrepreneurship school through a competition that concluded on March 29, 2015. An expert panel evaluated all the ideas, and as a result, 24 candidates will attend the entrepreneurship school, where they will further develop their ideas and learn about social entrepreneurship, social innovation, the concept of lean entrepreneurship, marketing and market communication, financing, legislation, and taxes—and the list goes on.
The course began on Tuesday, April 7, at the Radovljica Adult Education Center and will run for one month, with classes held twice a week.
On May 12, 2015, the participants will present their ideas again to the expert panel, and we will select two winning teams.
