On Monday, March 19, 2017, the Competition for the Development of Entrepreneurial Ideas with a Social Impact, held as part of the Ferfl program, came to a close. Today, we are announcing the four winners of the competition.
The fourth season of our Ferfl program has also borne fruit. But this is by no means the end of our fruitful collaboration! The winners of the startup weekend and the competition will begin further refining their ideas at the School of Entrepreneurship on March 28, 2017.
Let’s recap: Ferfl is a program that promotes entrepreneurship with a social impact. It is a comprehensive program for developing entrepreneurial ideas with a social impact, which encourages people of all ages to start thinking about a better future and to begin developing entrepreneurial ideas that also have positive effects on society and the environment in which we live. The program is an initiative of the Cene Štupar Public Institution – Ljubljana Education Center. Participation in all phases of the program is completely free of charge for participants.
The program consists of four content areas:
- NATIONWIDE COMPETITION for entrepreneurial ideas with a social impact, which ran from February 13 through March 2016.
- STARTUP WEEKEND for social impact entrepreneurship, which took place from Friday, March 10, through Sunday, March 12, 2017.
- ENTREPRENEURSHIP SCHOOL with a social impact, which will take place from March 28 to May 24, 2016, and will conclude with a presentation of ideas and the selection of the two best ones.
- A SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP incubator offering 3 months of support to the two winning teams.
Following the successful conclusion of the Startup Weekend, where we selected two winning teams after an intensive work session, the idea competition also came to a close, yielding four additional winning ideas. And so we now have six teams that will participate in the Entrepreneurship School:
- Svedrčki (winning idea from Startup Weekend—idea creator Ana Peskar)
- Heart Corner (winning idea from Startup Weekend—idea creator: Janja Srčnik)
- Slovene GIFTS (winning idea in the contest—conceived by Urša Jazbinšek)
- Hungry Skin (winning entry in the contest—concept by Anja Bordon)
- House of Horrors (winning entry in the contest—concept by Andreja Potočnik)
- MaliGaneša Yoga (winning idea from the contest—conceived by Maja Zabukovec)
We look forward to the new challenges that await us at the School of Entrepreneurship and, later, at the Social Entrepreneurship Incubator.
