Ljubljana+ N’š PLAC Multigenerational Center

Project Objective:

The Ljubljana+ N’š PLAC Multigenerational Center serves as a central hub for socializing and obtaining information. It promotes the social inclusion of people at risk of poverty or social exclusion, including the most vulnerable segments of the population. The primary objective of the Ljubljana+ N’š PLAC Multigenerational Center is to establish an innovative model for the comprehensive, accessible, and high-quality implementation of preventive programs and activities to prevent a slide into poverty while simultaneously improving quality of life and promoting the social inclusion and integration of numerous vulnerable target groups. Through its program, it offers a diverse range of free activities for all target groups.

N’š PLAC operates in the Central Slovenia region at various locations under the auspices of the project applicant, the Cene Štupar Public Institution—Ljubljana Education Center, and three other partner organizations: the Kotlovnica Kamnik Youth Center, the Anton Trstenjak Institute, and the Grosuplje Retirement Home.

All activities and content are free of charge for participants.

Project Activities:

• content designed to develop social, health, cultural, and financial competencies,
• content designed to promote lifelong learning,
• content designed to strengthen parenting skills and facilitate the balance between work and family or personal life,
• content related to the prevention of domestic violence, violence against women and children, and other vulnerable target groups,
• activities for children and organized childcare,
• academic support for children and youth,
• organizing and leading discussion groups for various age groups with the aim of strengthening social inclusion and preventing poor mental health,
• counseling for individuals and families to help them navigate various support systems more easily,
• programs designed to facilitate the integration of migrants and refugees and their families, particularly women, children, and young people,
• programs aimed at strengthening the social inclusion of Romani families, particularly Romani women, children, and youth,
• content designed to facilitate the social inclusion of people with special needs, particularly children and young people,
• content intended for people with disabilities.

Target groups:

• families, especially those with low socioeconomic status,
• children and young people at risk of social exclusion,
• older adults, especially those from socially vulnerable backgrounds,
• children and youth with special needs,
• migrants and refugees, particularly children, young people, and women from these families,
• Roma families, particularly children, young people, and women from these families,
• single-parent families and
• people with disabilities.

Project Funding:

This project is funded by the Republic of Slovenia, the Ministry of Labor, Family, Social Affairs, and Equal Opportunities, and the European Union through the European Social Fund Plus.

Total project value: 1,481,849.60 euros, of which EU co-financing amounts to 592,739.84 euros

August 2024 – September 2029
