As part of the KORAK project, we are announcing a Slovenian language program
Practical Slovenian at the A1 Level
The thematic areas we will cover (A more detailed program can be found HERE) :
- personal identity,
- Body and Health,
- shopping, services, economy,
- personal relationships,
- Work and Career.
The grammar topic we will cover:
- basic grammar rules,
- 2., 4th and 5th declensions,
- all verb forms (present, past, future),
- modal verbs (must, can, want).
About the course:
- Duration: 40 instructional hours (1 hour = 45 minutes).
- The course is free for foreigners or people of foreign descent.
- Limited number of available spots.
- The course will be held at the institute’s headquarters at 5 Ambrožiča Novljana St.; you will be notified of the classroom location at a later date.
- You will receive an email notifying you of your enrollment in the group no later than five days before the course begins.
- Course start date: 12. 5. 2026
- Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 12:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
- Conclusion: 2. 6. 2026

We accept preliminary registrations HERE, from April 1, 2026, until all available spots are filled.
Before the course begins, you will be invited to take an introductory test, which will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. at the institute’s headquarters (5 Ambrožiča Novljana Street, 1000 Ljubljana).
You will have the opportunity to complete the written portion of the test online in advance, while the oral portion will be administered during the testing session.
Based on the results, we will form a homogeneous group that will begin the course on May 12, 2026.

- The course is free of charge for foreigners or people of foreign origin
- A limited number of spots are available
- The course will be held at the institution’s location: 5 Ul. Ambrožiča Novljana; classroom details will be provided later
- You will be notified of your group assignment by email no later than five days before the course begins
- Course start date: May 12, 2026
- Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 12:30 to 14:45
- End date: June 2, 2026
