You are invited to participate free of charge in the “Barje Intergenerational Mosaic” program, which will consist of 4 modules.
The purpose of the project is to address the needs and specific characteristics of the environment, such as the scattered nature of the settlements and the high unemployment rate in the Barje region. Through the implementation of our modules, we will address these needs and characteristics through interdisciplinary, holistic, circular, and collaborative cooperation among partners and by transferring various skills and and competencies—both across generations and among various vulnerable population groups.
The modules we will be covering are:
- First Module = MODULE: VEGETABLE GARDENING AND HERB CULTIVATION
- Second module = ICT TECHNOLOGY MODULE (Information and Communication Technologies)
- Third Module = BEEKEEPING MODULE
- Module 4 = MANUFACTURING OF FINAL PRODUCTS – ITEMS
We invite you to a free workshop as part of the third module, where we will discuss, gain new knowledge, or further develop and expand on what we already know about beekeeping. We’ll also touch on APITHERAPY, or how bee therapy heals us. Apitherapy is a form of therapy that uses bee stings and bee products—such as honey, propolis, and royal jelly—to strengthen the immune system and maintain good health. The origins of apitherapy date back to the time of the ancient Egyptians. The workshop will be led by Tadeja Vidmar, the “Honey Queen of 2022.” Together, we will raise awareness of the importance of bees in improving quality of life and how each individual can contribute to this.
