We invite you to a free workshop as part of the first module, “GARDENING AND HERBALISM,” where we’ll meet outdoors this time and, together with our project partner, Margita Vehar, pick wild garlic.
We’ll meet in Polhov Gradec (in front of the bridge, on the right side by the fence) on Monday April 12 at 10:00 a.m. a.m.
As part of the “Gardening and Herbalism” module, we aim to share new knowledge, experiences, and best practices in the fields of gardening and herbalism. We’ll discuss these topics during a leisurely walk and while foraging. Nowadays, for many people, healthy food—especially vegetables—is too expensive to buy in stores. That’s why, through this module, we want to encourage self-sufficiency in vegetables and herbs. With this new knowledge, we believe we will improve the quality of life by enhancing the quality of the food we eat and, at the same time, boosting self-confidence (more knowledge leads to greater independence).
All interested foragers are cordially invited to register and then attend the next free workshop, which will take place on Friday , April 14, at 10:00 a.m., where you will use the wild garlic you’ve gathered at Dežela zelišč pri Margiti (Polhov Gradec—the exact location will be provided in the email upon registration), where you’ll work with her to use the wild garlic you’ve gathered to make authentic homemade wild garlic spread.
