Project partners—the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (GZS) Central Slovenia Regional Chamber, the AIA Association – Mengeš Youth Center, and Cene Štupar – CILJ, hosted Toni Dragar, Mayor of the Municipality of Domžale, who emphasized that participation in the entrepreneurial ecosystem is of crucial importance. He noted that a a public call for applications for loans with subsidized interest rates to promote the development of entrepreneurship in the Municipality of Domžale for 2021, with a total loan amount of 1,500,000.00 EUR. He also emphasized the importance and results of cooperation among all stakeholders within the LAS municipalities, which is also reflected in the project “For You, Entrepreneurs,” whose purpose is to increase entrepreneurial competencies.
In addition to the mayor, we also hosted Mr. Vinko Juhart, co-owner of the family-owned company JUVI; Mojca Šimnic Šolinc, M.A., director of Tosama; Ms. Vesna Goršek from the “Verjamem vate” Association, and Prof. Mateja Drnovšek, Ph.D., from the Department of Entrepreneurship at the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana.
The guests shared their stories and agreed that entrepreneurs are united by a passion for their work that evolves into a personal mission. In addition, it is essential that roles within a company be clearly defined and delineated, and it is also crucial to set goals that serve as a roadmap for the organization’s development and for obtaining feedback on whether we have reached our intended goal. We must know ourselves, our organization, our customer segments, and the market, and in doing so, we must pay close attention to liquid assets and the ways we finance our growth. They also emphasized discipline, dedication, the aforementioned passion, and building strong relationships within their companies and with business partners, all of which collectively lead us to the desired results.
