We are announcing the schedule for an additional 120-hour Slovenian language course!
This course is intended for speakers of NON-SLAVIC languages who have already completed the 180-hour course.
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: 6:00 p.m. – 9:15 p.m. (including a break)
Expected start date: 20. 1. 2025
Upon completion of the course, participants will:
- be able to report, both orally and in writing, on past, present, and future events in their lives,
- be able to find key information in advertisements, notices, and instructions,
- read and understand simpler journalistic texts, discuss them, and express their own opinions,
- expand their vocabulary so that they will be able to get by when they need various services (at a bank, post office, government office, embassy, store, doctor’s office, and dentist’s office).
In this course, you will explore topics related to art, transportation, travel, household chores, healthy living, visits to the doctor and dentist, food and drink, cooking, life in the past and today, visits to the bank, stores, the post office, government offices, and embassies, as well as Slovenian landmarks and the Slovenian people and their character.
You will also learn about the Slovenian language: the declension of nouns and personal pronouns in all cases and numbers, the use of verbs in all tenses and numbers, the use of modal verbs, the conditional and imperative moods, the comparison of adjectives, and the correct use of prepositions and conjunctions.
