December 6, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Cene Štupar – CILJ, Ulica Novljana Ambrožiča 5, Ljubljana.
Workshop Program:
- We’ll talk about values and what they mean to us and our careers.
- We will gain concrete insight into our own motivations and values, and thereby develop a better understanding of ourselves and others.
- We will highlight our own findings regarding career anchors and motivational factors, which we obtained using the Motivator tool.
- We’ll discuss what my results mean for me as an employee or manager/colleague and compare our different needs with one another.
Why attend the workshop?
Are you familiar with this?
- That someone approaches the same (preferably shared) task in a completely different way?
- Do you ever want to tell your boss to stop constantly monitoring you and to give you the freedom to reach your goals on your own?
- Would you like to delve deeper into some interesting professional content, but find yourself constantly interrupted by additional tasks?
- Are your tasks too routine, or perhaps too varied?
- Do you wonder about the meaning of your work?
- Do you ever try to understand your coworkers, but have trouble doing so?
In life and at work, we’re driven by different things—different values—which is completely normal. What works for me might not work for someone else. In practice, this means that we’re motivated by different things. Simply being aware of this fact can significantly help us in our work and relationships.
At the workshop, you can gain insights into making career decisions and learn important things about yourself that can positively influence your development and help you better understand some of your behaviors and experiences.
The results can shed light on the reasons behind many misunderstandings, as they highlight an individual’s fundamental needs when it comes to their career. In this way, they can make a significant contribution to fostering better understanding with a manager and within the team.
What is Motivator?
We determine the results regarding career anchors and motivational factors using the web-based MOTIVATOR tool.
Who is this workshop intended for?
This workshop is suitable for:
- Leaders who are just beginning their journey toward a better understanding of themselves and their colleagues. We’ll also discuss what to keep in mind as a leader and how understanding yourself can help you lead your colleagues more effectively and
- as well as anyone who wants to gain a better understanding of themselves, their motivations, and their basic needs, or
- You are facing important career decisions.
We especially invite all of you who have already participated in the motivation analysis. In this workshop, you’ll refresh your knowledge and gain practical ideas on how to lead your team or collaborate with colleagues who are driven by different motivations. You’ll have the opportunity to take the questionnaire again, receive a new report, and compare your results (we’ll discuss any changes that may have occurred).
How does the workshop work?
The workshop will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. After the workshop (12:30–1:00 p.m.), the instructor will be available to answer individual questions. The workshop will have a practical focus, featuring real-world examples.
Two weeks before the workshop, we’ll email each participant a link to complete two questionnaires that make up our in-house tool, Motivator.
The exercise takes about 15–20 minutes. During the workshop (in the second half), everyone receives a personalized report that highlights the key factors that motivate you. This gives you insight into your career anchors and motivational factors.
