Special Requirements for Obtaining a National Vocational Qualification

To obtain the national vocational qualification as a home health care worker, a candidate must meet the specific requirements set forth in the Catalog of Professional Knowledge and Skills.

Special Conditions for Joining the NPK

To obtain the NPK certificate for home care provider, you must meet the following requirements:

• completed elementary school,
• at least five years of work experience in working with people, or at least one year of work experience in the field of social care for the elderly, people with disabilities, or people with special needs,
• Completion of a certified training program in social welfare in the field of social care.

The candidate demonstrates his or her knowledge through official certificates issued by accredited educational institutions.

What is the process for obtaining an NPK?

Once you have met all the requirements for obtaining an NPK, you can apply for the NPK certification process.

Obtaining a National Vocational Qualification (NPK) certificate follows a clearly defined procedure that allows candidates to demonstrate the knowledge and experience they have gained through work, training, or informal learning.

The entire process is divided into three main steps:

Cost of the procedure

The fee for the NPK verification and certification process is 267.00 EUR and includes:

• providing information, guidance, and support to the candidate throughout the entire process,
• individual counseling and assistance in preparing a personal portfolio,
• a professional review of the application portfolio and a determination of whether the requirements have been met,
• direct assessment of practical knowledge and competencies.
