NPK Training Program: Home Care Provider

The verified training program for social care workers consists of 150 hours and is mandatory for obtaining the National Professional Qualification (NPK) as a home-based social care worker, regardless of your prior experience in social care. The training program has been developed in accordance with the Catalog of Professional Knowledge and Skills for Obtaining a National Professional Qualification and has been verified by the Social Chamber of Slovenia.

The program consists of nine modules and comprises a total of 150 instructional hours, of which 75 hours are devoted to theory and 75 hours to practical work.

As part of the practical training, 40 teaching hours are organized at a social services employer. The instructors who teach the program possess exceptionally extensive theoretical knowledge and, above all, many years of practical experience working with people in need of care.

After successfully completing the training, candidates can begin the process of verifying and validating their NPK and obtain an officially recognized certificate.

There are a maximum of 10 people in the group.

• Start of training: expected in April 2026
• Scope: 150 teaching hours
• Schedule: two to five times a week, in the afternoon from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and in the morning from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
• Location: Classrooms at the Cene Štupar – CILJ Beauty Salon, 9 Luize Pesjakove Street, Ljubljana

Training Cost

The cost of the 150-hour training program is 1,159.00 EUR.

• The 2nd and 3rd installments over the next two months.
