Adjustments for Special Education

The requirements for the cosmetology technician program are tailored based on the recognition of an individual’s prior learning. Adult education is a specialized branch of education, so we strive to adapt to your needs as much as possible and take individual needs into account.

Classes for the cosmetology technician program are held 3–5 times a week in the afternoon, as are exams and office hours. Exams are held year-round, and the vast majority of them can be taken at least once a month. This allows participants to set their own pace and tailor their education to their needs.

You can choose between attending lectures and self-directed learning. Attendance at specialized practical modules is mandatory. An exam follows the completion of the lecture series. While the focus is on self-study, you have access to in-person and online consultations with the instructor, during which they will outline your course requirements and objectives and are available to answer any questions you may have.

Upon enrollment, work with the training provider to develop a personalized training plan that outlines the conditions, methods, formats, and deadlines for fulfilling the obligations set forth in the training program.

Lectures

3–5 times a week in the afternoon, according to the schedule.

Some courses do not have mandatory lectures prior to the exam; however, for most professional modules, lectures are recommended or required due to the nature of the profession and the practical skills that can only be acquired in class. Your specific requirements regarding the possible recognition of prior learning will be determined in more detail during the introductory informational meeting.

Requirements for Completion of the Cosmetic Technician PROGRAM

The following must be rated positively:

• general education courses,
• required professional modules,
• elective professional modules,
• the open part of the curriculum.

In addition, the following must be completed:

• responsibilities associated with active citizenship,
• requirements for on-the-job training,
• vocational high school diploma.

Conclusion – Vocational High School Diploma

• a written and oral exam in Slovenian,
• a written and oral exam in cosmetology,
• a written and oral exam in a foreign language or mathematics,
• product or service and justification.

The vocational high school graduation exam is administered three times a year (spring, fall, and winter sessions).

To register for the vocational high school graduation exam, go to the office and fill out the REGISTRATION FORM. You do not necessarily need to have passed all your exams at the time of registration. You must complete all requirements by the withdrawal deadline. If you wish to withdraw from the vocational high school graduation exam, you must fill out a WITHDRAWAL FORM at the office .

• Upon enrollment, we will process your credit transfer and calculate the final cost of the program.
• We also offer the option of paying tuition in up to 15 monthly installments.
• We conduct our training in small groups and in specialized classrooms (our own facilities).
• In our hands-on exercises, we use special, high-quality cosmetic products.
• Each participant has access to the electronic index and the e-classroom.
• Access to all materials (including video materials), regardless of the courses or modules enrolled in.
• Every participant is eligible for free consultations.
• We offer free preparation courses for the vocational high school graduation exam in all subjects.
