What is the NPK for pedicurists?

The National Vocational Qualification (NPK) for Pedicurists is a publicly recognized certificate that demonstrates your competence to perform work in the field of pedicure.

You can obtain the certificate through an official process of assessing and certifying your knowledge, skills, and experience. You can demonstrate your knowledge through education, NPK training, work experience, and other relevant documentation.

This certificate can help you find a job at a beauty salon or plan your own career path. When carrying out your work, you must also comply with other applicable conditions and regulations.

Special Requirements for Obtaining a National Vocational Qualification

To obtain the National Vocational Qualification for Pedicurist, you must meet the specific requirements set forth in the Catalog of Professional Knowledge and Skills.

Special Conditions for Joining the NPK

To begin the process of obtaining an NPK, you must provide official documentation to demonstrate your knowledge in the following areas:

• anatomy and physiology;
• health protection;
• skin and skin diseases.

The skills must be acquired in:

• accredited high school vocational programs at least at the SOK 5 level or
• degree programs at least at the SOK 6 level in the fields of health care, dentistry, cosmetology, or pharmacy.

You demonstrate your knowledge with official documents issued by accredited educational institutions (e.g., certificates, diplomas, proof of completed exams, etc.).

Do you lack the required skills?

If you are unable to demonstrate the required skills with appropriate certificates or other official documentation, you can take the necessary exams through our high school program in Cosmetology.

Exams are held throughout the school year, typically from October through June.

Exam Sections

Fees and Retaking Exams

Price per exam: 80.00 EUR.

The price includes:

• instructional materials,
• consultation,
• taking the exam once,
• Issue a certificate of successful completion of an exam in non-formal education.

Total cost of all exams: 560.00 EUR.

Only candidates who are not yet able to demonstrate the required knowledge with appropriate official documentation are required to pay the exam fees.

Retaking the Exam

In the event that:

• failing the exam during the second attempt, or
• registrations for an exam that you do not take,

A fee of 80.00 EUR must be paid for the third and each subsequent attempt at the same exam.

Registration and Exam Schedule

Exams are held throughout the school year, from October through June.

After you submit the application form, we will send you:

• an electronic signature training agreement,
• An invoice for payment in the amount of 560.00 EUR.

You will receive a username and password to access the online classroom, where study materials for all 7 exams are available.

You will also receive an email prompting you to create a password for the online portal, where you can register for and withdraw from exams.

What is the process for obtaining an NPK?

Once you have met all the requirements for obtaining an NPK, you can apply for the NPK certification process.

Obtaining a National Vocational Qualification (NPK) certificate follows a clearly defined procedure that allows candidates to demonstrate the knowledge and experience they have gained through work, training, or informal learning.

The entire process is divided into three main steps:

Cost of the NPK certification process

The fee for the NPK verification and certification process is 267.00 EUR and includes:

• providing information, guidance, and support to the candidate throughout the entire process,
• individual counseling and assistance in preparing a personal portfolio,
• a professional review of the application portfolio and a determination of whether the requirements have been met,
• direct assessment of practical knowledge and competencies.

Dates and Registration for the NPK Certification Process

• The next review and approval will take place in 2026.
